Who We're Looking For

As a Full-Time Veterinarian at Heekin Animal Hospital, you’ll provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to small animal patients in a well-equipped, modern facility.

You’ll work alongside experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians and a strong support team, allowing you to focus on patient care while practicing efficiently and confidently. Our environment is designed to encourage collaboration, mentorship, and continued growth.

Dr. Heekin has a strong interest in dental health and pain management, and we place a high value on thorough, progressive care in these areas. As a member of VMG, our practice is structured to be both efficient and sustainable—where profitability supports great care, not the other way around.

‍Qualifications:
‍- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution
- At least 1 year of experience in small animal general practice
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindsetInterest in dentistry and high-quality patient care
- Commitment to continued professional developmentInterest in future practice ownership is a plus

What We Offer:
‍- Base salary starting at $120,000 (40-hour work week; negotiable based on experience)
- Flexible scheduling, including some weekends
- PTO based on hours worked
- CE stipend + 2 CE days

Founded in 2004, Heekin Animal Hospital has grown through strong community relationships and a commitment to progressive veterinary care. In 2025, we opened our new 6,200-square-foot state-of-the-art facility designed for comfort, efficiency, and patient wellbeing. The hospital features five exam rooms, a dedicated comfort/consult room, advanced surgical and dental suites, separate treatment areas, species-specific wards, and thoughtful amenities that create a better experience for pets, clients, and team members alike.
